Lumara: Raft Slab Milestone
Lumara, Broadbeach
Construction continues to progress at Lumara, with the team recently reaching one of the project’s most significant structural milestones—the successful completion of the raft slab.
While the completed pour is a milestone in its own right, it represents months of planning, coordination and preparation. From detailed pre-pour works through to the final truck leaving site, every stage relied on the experience and collaboration of the people delivering the project.
A Milestone by the Numbers
The raft slab pour was a major operation, requiring careful planning and execution across the entire site team.
- 1,037m³ of concrete placed
- 141 concrete truck movements
- 12 hours and 40 minutes on site
- 51 workers, including the 5Point team
The scale of the pour is reflected in the numbers, but its success was built long before concrete arrived on site. Careful preparation, sequencing and coordination ensured the operation was delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme.
